In Case You Missed It: a round-up of interesting technology-related links shared over the weekend.
Pee-proof walls (The Next Web)
I’ve not lived in San Francisco long, but even I know the city streets have a certain… let’s just say… urine problem. You can’t walk too far without getting a whiff of it. In an effort to tackle this situation, SF’s Department of Public Works has coated several walls with hydrophobic paint which, according to this demo (with water, thankfully), sprays liquid back with devastating trouser-wetting velocity.
Nintendo shutting TVii service (Mashable)
TVii was a companion service on Nintendo’s WiiU console whereby users could take the controller – which has a screen on it – and do various TV-related things like… well, I don’t know really. Didn’t take off. Is now closing. On 11 August.
The Apple Watch Project (Medium)

For ransom, Bitcoin replaces the bag of bills (New York Times)
The front page of Sunday’s New York Times had this very interesting piece on how the virtual currency Bitcoin is now the hostage-takers method of choice for receiving the money. It presents a serious headache for authorities trying to track down criminals.
Eduardo Saverin gets married (Time)
The co-founder of Facebook, Eduardo Saverin, has got married. No longer part of the company, but still worth a tasty $5bn (£3.2bn). The news was announced, naturally, on Facebook.
