I’m a church boy. You may not believe it because of the way I write and the topics I write about, but I am.
The Gantt Report, by Lucius Gantt
Every Sunday, my mom dressed me up in “church clothes” and sent me to Sunday School. “Jesus wept” was my very first Easter speech.
As an adult, I continued to worship. I have visited churches, mosques, temples, synagogues, Kingdom Halls, and my favorite place of worship, African religious ceremonies.
As a businessman, people I worked with included Victor Curry, Celo Crespo, Louis Farrakhan, C.K. Steele, Muhammad Siddeeq, Al Sharpton, Joe Lowery, Yahweh ben Yahweh, Henry Lyons, A.J. Richardson, John Greene, W.D. Muhammad, and many others.
I even studied theology in college.
To make a long story short, every religion I studied or worked with believed that God despises hypocrites and false prophets.
Politically speaking, I think God also resents political hypocrites and false prophets.
Today in 2024, there are more than a few so-called Black community activists who are trying to encourage Black voters to cast their ballots for white nationalists, white supremacists, and white insurrectionists!
When I ask why, they tell me President Joe Biden is “doing some things but he’s not doing enough.”
The misinformed activists are convinced that every video they see on social media is fact-based and truthful. Instead of picking up a book or newspaper to get a variety of political opinions, they seek to find an excuse for their individual shortcomings and drops in status.
Foreign actors and foreign digital assets flood the internet with messages intended to mislead and divide American citizens.
Everything bad is depicted as “Biden’s fault” and everything politically good as “Trump’s promise”.
I suggest voters should believe and support candidates they favor but love for digital devils and political satans, are surely a threat to the democratic governing system and the American way of life.
Oftentimes, Democratic and Republican candidates on all levels lie about who they are, what they will do and how they will serve the people.
On a Presidential level, if there is a life situation that upsets you, it’s easy to blame whoever is sitting in the Oval Office.
However, United States Presidents can’t control food prices, drug prices, oil prices, or even federal or state budgets and expenditures. Presidents, and Governors, sign budget legislation, they don’t create budget bills and legislation.
Listening to the rantings of political operatives and pundits about what’s best for America is ludicrous.
Also, believing in the honesty of political hypocrites and false political prophets will certainly be dangerous to Black American progress and achievements.
If you don’t know how politics work for and against you, please keep your political views to yourself.
Believe in people awho believe in you!
