Obama in Kenya: ‘Bad traditions’ hold nations back

US President Barack Obama has concluded his visit to Kenya with a televised address in which he praised the country – but also warned of challenges ahead.
Speaking in a sports stadium, the president urged Kenyans to shun “bad traditions”, such as the repression of women, which hold countries back and “need to change”.
