Orlando, February 25, 2020 – The Central Florida Urban League will host the National Urban League’s President and CEO, Marc Morial, in Orlando on March 3.

At 3:00 p.m., Mr. Morial will hold a roundtable with a number of local elected officials and community leaders at City Hall (400 South Orange Ave.).  The roundtable will focus on the Central Florida Urban League’s ongoing efforts with state, county and city governments to promote education, employment and entrepreneurship in our region. These three issues speak to the core of Central Florida Urban League’s mission of ending generational poverty.

At 6:30 p.m., Mr. Morial, the Central Florida Urban League and Spectrum will hold a Community Conversation on the importance of the 2020 Census at FAMU College of Law (201 Beggs Avenue). The event is open to the public and will be moderated by Spectrum News 13 reporter Curtis McCloud.

“We are grateful that Mr. Morial will be visiting our region to help us underscore the importance of the census to our community,” said Glenton Gilzean Jr., President and CEO of the Central Florida Urban League. “Mr. Morial is a national voice for our community, and we hope that his presence will help bolster our efforts to ensure that everyone in our community is counted on April 1.”
