Darren Vann, accused of killing seven women, appeared in court Friday morning handcuffed and escorted by police. The Northwest Indiana Times reported that the 46-year-old Vann objected to his trial date and cursed at the judge when he was told that he would need to give the prosecutors a handwriting sample.
Vann was in court on two of his cases– the deaths of 19-year-old Afrikka Hardy and 35-year-old Anith Jones. If convicted, Vann could face the death penalty.
