South Sudan faces peace negotiation deadline

The two sides in the South Sudan conflict face a final day of peace negotiations before international sanctions are due to be imposed.
Thousands have have been killed in the 20-month civil war in South Sudan; a country which only gained independence from neighbouring Sudan four years ago.
On one side is the country’s founding leader President Salva Kiir, from the majority ethnic Dinka group.
On the other is rebel chief Riek Machar, the president’s former deputy and a member of the Nuer ethnic group.
Catherine Buyurahanga has been on patrol with Ugandan peacekeepers in South Sudan.
