The lab hoping to make stronger metals

Scientists at the BP International Centre for Advanced Materials in Manchester have been working on new ways to model and test stronger alloy metals.
BBC Click went on a tour of the facility and talked to the centre’s director Professor Philip Withers about using technology to make new alloy metals for oil rigs and pipelines which are less prone to damage from hydrogen found in oil and water.
