On August 11, Audubon Village hosted their annual Back to School Event, inviting residents to come together to celebrate the end of summer. A community-wide lunch was held where free backpacks stuffed with school supplies were handed out to the kids living in the community.
Audubon Village has been hosting this popular event for more than nine years, and each year, the community finds new ways to end summer by giving back to residents.
Last year, Audubon Village gave away 153 bags to children living in the community, and this year, the community gave out even more bags– 170 in all– filled with school supplies, from notebooks and folders to pens and crayons! Having these new supplies will help the kids at Audubon Village start their year off on the right foot. Who doesn’t love a new box of crayons?
