Leslie Salzillo, a member of the Daily Koz, has posted an interesting article on the efforts by Florida Attorney Steve Medina to expose environmental corruption. According to Koz, tons of toxic waste are being dumped into the St. Johns River every day by the Koch Brothers‘ company, Georgia-Pacific. It’s probably safe to say most Florida residents have no idea what’s going on.
Attorney Medina has compiled an extensive array of public records and court documents that he sent to Salzillo, who says the information details corruption that “unravels in a complicated and insidious manner and spans for about a decade.”
I’d say that I’m an environmentalist since I believe we are supposed to be good stewards of the earth. Steve Medina’s story, as related by Salzillo, makes, for me, a very interesting read. Check out the story here.
