Special Prosecutor Indicts Paul Manafort for Conspiring Against U.S.

President Trump’s former campaign chairman, Paul Manafort, was indicted Monday as part of special counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation into Russian meddling in the 2016 election.  Rick Gates, another campaign official, was also indicted by the federal grand jury on the same charges.

Both men face 12 counts including conspiracy to launder money, conspiracy against the United States, being an unregistered agent of a foreign principal, false and misleading FARA statements and other charges.
