    Is this art? Selling other people’s online pics

    What would you do if somebody took your picture from social media, and sold it in a gallery as a work of art – keeping the profits for themselves?

    Famous US “appropriation” artist Richard Prince has caused controversy after he sold works of art that used Instagram pictures from people’s feeds without asking them for permission, or sharing the profits. He’s faced criticism online but hasn’t granted BBC Trending an interview on the subject.
