Orlando, FL – WithumSmith+Brown, PC (Withum), the top nationally ranked advisory, tax and assurance/accounting firm known for its social-responsibility initiatives, recently dispatched team members from its Orlando office to volunteer at local charitable organizations in the days leading into the holiday season. The annual event, known as Withum Week of Caring, is a company-wide volunteer initiative that benefits 50+ charitable organizations serving the neighborhoods in which the firm’s regional offices are located.

“This is our favorite outreach event of the year because giving back to local charities is an important part of who we are at Withum. It never ceases to amaze me how the number of charitable organizations is able to expand each year,” said Bill Hagaman, Withum’s CEO and managing partner. “In its seventh year, Withum Week of Caring was once again a great success because of the many generous team members who made volunteering a priority and shared skills and talent that extended beyond their everyday professional responsibilities.”

During Withum Week of Caring, more than 700 team members from 10 offices spanning seven states provide over 2,500 volunteer hours. Efforts focus on supporting each group’s respective mission

Withum team members fanned out from Lake Fairview and Southport to Tangelo Park, Oak Ridge and Sky Lake during the week. Sites included Habitat for Humanity where volunteers focused on painting newly donated houses; Freedom Ride, a volunteer based organization that provides therapeutic horseback riding to children and adults with disabilities; and Clean the World, an organization dedicated to providing soap to promote hygiene.
