ABC News – Civil rights groups in South Carolina want a federal investigation of other shootings involving police in the county where a black man was fatally shot by a white officer this month.
News media outlets report that representatives of the North Charleston NAACP and two other groups said Friday that they don’t have faith in the local police, prosecutor or the State Law Enforcement Division to look into such cases.
The representatives told a news conference in North Charleston that they want a federal review of police-involved shootings in Charleston County dating to 1994.
