North Korea fired a missile today that passed over northern Japan, according to the Japanese government.
According to a Reuters report, the nation’s J-Alert warning system advised people in northern Japan to take precautions, no damage was reported,, and no military action was taken. No attempt was made to shoot the missile down.
Japanese prime minister Shinzo Abe called the missile launch an “unprecedented, serious and grave threat” that “greatly damages the regional peace and security.”
