Local Veterans Groups, Marching Bands, Community Organizations, Active Military and Residents are Invited to Celebrate Veterans Day with the City of Orlando and the Mayor’s Veterans Advisory Council
Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer and his Veterans Advisory Council have released participant applications for the City of Orlando’s 2015 Veterans Day Parade, which are available on the City of Orlando’s website at cityoforlando.net/ veteransparade.
The City’s annual Veterans Day Parade offers a unique and patriotic opportunity for the Central Florida community to honor those who have served and our active duty military personnel.
The parade is in its 16th year and is the largest Veterans Day parade in Central Florida with more than 100 organizations participating and thousands of spectators lining the streets of Downtown Orlando.
In recent years, various groups and organizations have participated in the parade including: veterans groups, active-duty military, City of Orlando firefighters and police officers, marching bands and high school JROTC units from the tri-county area and youth clubs.
Any local groups or organizations interested in participating in the parade to show support for our veterans and active duty military personnel are encouraged to participate.
Application deadline is September 28, 2015
The Veterans Day Parade will take place Saturday, November 14, 2015 at 11 a.m.
The Veterans Day Parade will take place in Downtown Orlando, beginning at Orange Avenue at Robinson Street, turning left on Central Boulevard and left on North Rosalind, ending at Robinson Street.
