Orlando Florida – The National Coalition of 100 Black Women Central Florida today announced new officers who begin their terms on August 8, 2015. The ceremony took place at the Citrus Club in Orlando. The new officers were sworn in by Former Chief Judge Belvin Perry.
Lavern R. Kelly will serve as President of NC100BW CF.

Joining Kelly in leadership are Valmarie Turner, 1st Vice President; Georgia Smith, 3rd Vice President; Thelisha Thomas, Secretary; and Chantel Bowie, Treasurer.
The National Coalition of 100 Black Women Central Florida Chapter plays a critical role in helping to address societal issues of Black women and girls through advocacy actions. In May, the chapter presented the Inaugural Dr. Regina Benjamin Health Fair in Sanford, FL. Dr. Regina Benjamin presented the key address, and Kimberly R Stewart spoke to the gathering on the topic of financial stability.
The Central Florida Chapter, representing Brevard, Lake, Seminole, Orange, Osceola and Volusia counties, was chartered into the National Organization on November 16, 2010. It is one of six Chapters located in the State of Florida. The others include Pensacola, Polk County, Tampa Bay, and South Palm Beach.
There are sixty-two chapters nation-wide, with over 3,000 members. The organization focuses on health, education and economic empowerment for women and children in our communities.
