National Coalition of 100 Black Women Central Florida Chapter Installs Executive Officers for 2015-2017

Orlando Florida – The National Coalition of 100 Black Women Central Florida today announced new officers who begin their terms on August 8, 2015.   The ceremony took place at the Citrus Club in Orlando.  The new officers were sworn in by Former Chief Judge Belvin Perry.

The officers of National Coalition of 100 Black Women Central Florida Chapter make policy decisions, authorize Lavern R. Kelly, will serve as President of NC100BW CF.

Kelly will be joined by the following officers Valmarie Turner -1st Vice President, 3rd
Vice President -Georgia Smith, Thelisha Thomas Secretary, Chantel Bowie –Treasurer
The National Coalition of 100 Black Women Central Florida Chapter as an organization plays a critical role in helping to address societal issues of Black women and girls through advocacy actions. In May, the chapter presented the Inaugural Dr. Regina Benjamin Health Fair in Sanford, FL.  Dr. Regina Benjamin presented the key address, which was complimented by Kimberly R Stewart, who spoke on various aspects of financial stability.
The Central Florida Chapter was chartered into the National Organization on November 16, 2010.
The Central Florida Chapter represents the counties of Brevard, Lake, Seminole, Orange, Osceola and Volusia.  It is one (1) of six (6) Chapters located in the State of Florida. The Florida Chapters  consist of Central Florida, Pensacola, Polk County, Tampa Bay, and South Palm Beach. There are sixty two (62) other chapters throughout the United States. The organization has over three thousand (3,000) members throughout the United States. Organizational focus is health, education and economic empowerment for women and children in our communities.
