Abby Lee Miller appeared in federal court yesterday to plead in connection with the 20-count indictment filed against her on October 20. She is accused of concealing bankruptcy assets and lying under oath.
Back in 2010, Miller filed a Chapter 11 Bankruptcy petition looking to reorganize her dance studio. According to the indictment, she allegedly hid money she made from TV deals, Masterclass studio sessions, and merchandise/apparel sales in order to defraud the bankruptcy court.
She is accused of creating bank accounts to disperse and hide the income, telling others to conceal their income from the bankruptcy court, and failing to report or underreporting other business income.
Miller requested a jury trial when she entered her not guilty plea, and was released on $10,000 bond.
