Orlando, Florida —Please join Changing the Game for a New Generation at our 3rd Annual Holiday Gala. The holiday gala will be held on Friday evening, December 15, 2017, with the program starting at 7pm at the Majestic Event Center, 801 N. John Young Parkway, Orlando, Florida, 32804. The cost is $40.00 per ticket, and there will be dinner, live entertainment, and an opportunity to present a child with their dream gift.

“Studies have shown that children exposed to trauma and violence are at risk on so many different levels. Without intervention they often will perpetuate violence and the cycle of hate in our communities,” says Dr. Sydel LeGrande, Founder of Change the Game for a New Generation.

This is the third annual holiday gala, where children who have lost a parent or sibling to street or domestic violence will give us their dream gift list. There are 20 children this year, who will be in their evening best, be picked up by a stretch limo, and will meet sponsors in the community that will present them with their dream gift at the gala. Many will continue to mentor these children after the event.

Changing the Game For A New Generation is a non-profit 501©3 charitable organization, and we ask our sponsors to make a difference in these children’s lives by giving. This is a short term intervention, and Dr. Sydel LeGrande has a long term intervention program entitled, “Project IAM-Inspiring Amazing Minds.” The program has been introduced in one school, and the team is expecting to implement the project at a charter school next year.
Project- IAM – is a Game Changer teaching children valuable truths that will develop and strengthen self-confidence, resilience, and academic scholarship.
Dr. LeGrande believes the greatest change agent for our community is our children.

These interventions focus on our children, and you can help in three ways: 1. Come to the gala, 2. Come to the gala and sponsor a child by presenting them with their dream gift, and 3. Sponsor a seat for someone else who cannot afford to but a ticket.  We also invite you to become a sponsor of Project I.A.M. You can learn more about Project I.AM, at the gala or go the website for more info.

Buy your tickets and see the children you can sponsor at ctgforanewgeneration.com or email us at changingthegamex1@gmail.com. Phone number is 321-430-3977. “It is easier to build strong children than to repair broken men,” Fredrick Douglas.
