LYMMO Orange Line Service Expands into North Quarter District in Downtown Orlando

Keeping Orlando moving continues to be a priority for the City of Orlando. By providing multi-modal forms of transportation, the city offers those who live, work and play in Orlando options for getting around.

Part of this effort includes the City’s commitment to investing and improving our current infrastructure.  Downtown Orlando’s new North Quarter loop, an expansion of the LYMMO Orange Line, will increase mobility in our urban core, connect to other existing transit options such as LYMMO and SunRail and provide another affordable transportation alternatives to using a car and increasing access to jobs and opportunity, promoting active lifestyles and reducing our impact on the environment.

The expansion of the Orange Line will add an additional five LYMMO stops and 1.55 additional miles of service in the North Quarter District of Downtown.  New stops include:

1. Courthouse/Lake Eola Heights
2. Boys & Girls Club
3. Marks Street Senior Center
4. Steelhouse
5. Concord St. & Orange Avenue

To view the updated route, please reference the attached map. With the addition of this service, buses will run every seven minutes during peak hours and every 15 minutes during non-peak hours.

In the near future, LYMMO will break ground on a new line called the LYMMO Lime line. The Lime Line will provide another transportation option for the community that will provide convenient access to LYNX Central Station, SunRail, the Parramore neighborhood, FAMU College of Law and the Creative Village.

The expanded Orange Line route into the North Quarter District will begin service on Sunday, April 19, 2015.
